KAYWON UNSETTLED는 KUMA가 기획하는 국제공동 프로젝트로, 서로 다른 장소와 배경에서 활동하는 창작자와 학생이 만나 함께 배우고 새로운 가능성을 발견하는 과정입니다.
KUMA는 전시를 통해 결과물을 선보이는 데 그치지 않고, 다양한 문화와 창작 환경을 연결하는 교육과 협업의 과정을 함께 만들어가고 있습니다. KAYWON UNSETTLED 역시 이러한 과정의 하나로, 해외의 다양한 분야의 마스터와 학생들이 만나워크숍을 진행하고, 그 경험을 다시 전시와 기록으로 확장해 나갑니다.
올해는 세 개의 국제공동워크숍을 통해 서로 다른 분야의 마스터와 학생들이 함께 작업하며 새로운 경험을 만들고 있습니다. 워크숍에서 시작된 질문과 실험은 이후 KUMA에서 결과 전시로 이어질 예정입니다. (11월 예정)
하나의 만남에서 시작된 경험이 워크숍과 전시, 기록을 거치며 또 다른 만남으로 이어지는 것. KAYWON UNSETTLED는 이러한 과정을 통해 교육과 창작의 새로운 가능성을 만들어가는 방식을 탐색합니다.

KAYWON UNSETTLED is an international collaborative project initiated by KUMA, bringing together creators and students from different places and backgrounds to learn from one another and discover new possibilities. Rather than simply presenting completed works through exhibitions, KUMA creates opportunities for education and collaboration that connect diverse cultures, creative practices, and environments.
KAYWON UNSETTLED is part of this ongoing process. Masters from various fields and students from Kaywon University of Art & Design come together through international workshops, where they share knowledge, experiment, and explore new ideas. These experiences are then expanded through exhibitions and documentation.
This year, three international collaborative workshops are bringing together masters and students from different fields to work alongside one another and create new experiences. The questions and experiments that emerge from these workshops will continue into an exhibition at KUMA, scheduled for November. An experience that begins with a single encounter develops through workshops, exhibitions, and documentation, leading to new encounters and possibilities. Through KAYWON UNSETTLED, KUMA explores new ways of connecting education and creative practice, and of creating possibilities that emerge through collaboration.
